Joy For Jane: Progression

I love where I work, BUT WE ARE MOVING. NOOOO.

We acquired another company, and as a result need more real estate space to accomodate everyone. There had been deals to purchase the 6th floor of the current building we’re in to house the new employees, but those fell through. However, they found an amazing location. It’s a quaint loft style office, already wired to go for work.

BUT, it’s in downtown Toronto..

And the team chosen to go? 

That happens to be mine…

50 or so people will be moving to a Downtown Toronto hub to work. A lot of people are happy since they live in Toronto, but the commute will be HELL for me.

Literal hell. 

So I don’t think I can return, cause the commute is probably going be more than an hour and a half (driving, riding the rails AND walking) and will burn a huge hole in my pocket.

So depressed. I love where I work, but I guess this chapter is over..
